Class Description:
This class will focus on a combination of stitching techniques, Copic and French Link Stitch’s. We will explore decorative paper effects to the signature pages and incorporate fabric tapes and ribbons into the handmade book designs.
Day 1 : Design and Book Board Assembly: Design and prepare book covers. Demonstrate book binding stitching techniques and materials. We will discuss the Pros and Cons of different papers and threads that can be used for a stich book. Demonstrate paperfolding, cutting techniques, and pasting papers to the book covers.
Day 2: Signature and Board Preparation: Demonstrate folding, cutting and holes punching for signature pages. Ribbon and decorative elements will be reviewed and book structure design discussed.
Day 3: Assemble Book: Final day will be dedicated to stitching / assemble of your book. Step by Step Stitching instructions and final glueing instructions.
Age group: Young Adults and Adults who have had experience in making a book.

Cost: $180
Supplies / Fees: Tools and Supplies will be provided, $25 materials fee, paid to the instructor
About Adele:
Adele Ross is a graduate of Moore College of Art in Philadelphia. She is an accomplished Printmaker who began her printing journey at Montgomery College in Maryland. Ross’s book-making interest has evolved from her printing, which she feels is a natural progression from her press.
- Refunds will be issued if a minimum of seven (7) days notice is provided prior to the scheduled event or program.
- However, refund requests made with less than seven days notice will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and approval is not guaranteed.
