Class Description:

The series of 5 Origami classes for children to learn a set of basic folds and bases. Applying the learned folds/bases, the children create fun and interesting figures.

Syllabus:

Oct 6: Diagonal and Kite Folds and make the dog and cat faces, swan, and ice cream.

Oct 20: Book and Cabinet Folds and make a house, piano and a rabbit face.

Oct 27: Create a Halloween collage with origami pumpkin, ghost, bat and a spider web.

Nov 3: Square Base and make a simple paper crane with flipping wings and Pikachu face.

Nov 10: Water Bomb Base and make a star, a rocket to fly, a big Samurai helmet using news paper.

Age Group: Children: 5 - 10

Level: Beginners

Cost: $100

Supplies: $10 paid directly to Teacher

About Naoko

Naoko Kamioka, a certified Origami Instructor and Educator. Originally from Japan, having lived in DC over 35 years. As Educator, Naoko offers the child-centered Origami classes accommodating the children’s interest, learning style and pace. Naoko makes classes interactive and promotes children’s creativity and problem-solving.
