Photography Workshop for Teens (Apr 19)
Photography Workshop for Teens with Noah Gocial
Sunday, April 19, 2025
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Location: Washington Printmakers Gallery,
1675 Wisconsin Avenue Northwest Washington, DC 20007
Course Description:
This workshop will touch on the most important aspects of photography, from light to composition, in an effort to start a teen's photography journey! By the end, you should feel comfortable taking good photos and will come away with recommendations for further study and practice.
In the first hour, we will discuss light: exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, highlights, shadows, midtones, etc. This will go into detail on how to view different scenes and adjust each camera setting.
The second hour will focus on framing and composition: how to balance the photo, what to include/exclude, subject and background, different details, and more. Rather than a strict approach, this will be an exploration of these skills and how to apply them.
