Class Description:
This immersive journey invites participants to break from traditional boundaries and dive into the world of abstraction. By exploring multiple mediums and methods, you’ll discover freedom and spontaneity in art to express emotions, stories, and concepts in unique and non-representational ways.
Drawing: Fast sketches with pencil, pen and brush.
Painting: Dive into color and intuitive brushwork.
Monoprinting: Learn to create spontaneous, one-of-a-kind prints using plexi glass and acrylic paint.
Collage: We tansform found materials, photographs, and text into layered, abstract narratives.
Mixed Media: We incorporate unconventional materials like fabric, paper, and likewise to build dynamic pieces.
Assemblage: Children will carry their experiences into a three dimensional assembled object.
Bio: Sarah S Barzmehri studied fine arts at the renowned art school in Paris, France (Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts de Paris), and Graphic Design at University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She’s an accomplished artist, educator and curator.
