Mumbai is a popular destination when it comes to street food. Certain street food items have captured the imagination of the Mumbai public so much the city itself has come to be associated with them, like the iconic Bhelpuri or the Vada-pao. So, when a traveller goes to Mumbai, it is expected of them to get a taste of the famed Bhelpuri at Chowpatty beach. The street food culture of the cty is embraced by a wide cross section of the population from office workers, students, daily wage labourers, businessman amoung others.

On Feb 28th, we'll be very proud to be collaborating with one of Columbus' most influential and talented members of the culinary community. She's a chef, a restaurateur & an important, proven advocate for service industry workers. Throughout her time in the culinary space, she's been kind enough to have dealt all of us a winning hand of quality, kindness and service personified. Chef Sang and Chef James will create a menu with a ideal blend of Indian culture with American Barbecue, paired with beautiful wines for each plate.

Sangeeta Lakhani, as Founder and Executive Director at Service! Relief for Hospitality Workers, helped in aiding service industry employees who found themselves adversely impacted by COVID and in need of a myriad of assistance. She has an admirable record of volunteering outside of her work at Service! and is a long-time advocate for, and on behalf of, an industry that we're grateful she calls home.

More to the point of why you're here reading this, Sang is also an incredibly talented chef in her own right. She held down the fort at iykyk-era Bodega as Chef and part-owner. More recently, she found herself playing the same role at The Table, where she truly got to flex her considerable culinary skill and creativity.

Informed by her upbringing and time spent in Mumbai as a youth, Sang will not only be exercising her more-than-considerable culinary talents on all of her courses, she'll also be collaborating with Chef James Anderson on a one off, duel chef menu that will be used for one night only.
