Students will learn to transfer an image to paper, add collage materials to enhance image, and paint into the image to create final one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork.

On the first day of class, students are expected to bring their sketchbook and multiple inspirational images (landscape, still life, portrait, abstract, photograph, etc.) to review for their first mixed media piece. Artwork should be sized to 8x10 or 4x5 on paper; colored image preferred, but not critical. Students will be expected to work on their own during the course. By the end of this class, students will have basic knowledge how to create a monotype and add mixed media and color to a print.
